Volcano Lab is an interactive beta from Learning Frontier, created and maintained by ACED. Updated September 17, 2026. For curious learners aged 12 and up; allow approximately 15–20 minutes. No prior geology is required.
Predict how temperature, silica, and gas affect an eruption. Keep an experiment as A, change one ingredient in B, and explain the difference. Then try the same gas change in a more fluid mixture: does it behave the same way?
This is an illustrative teaching model, not a hazard forecast. It has not undergone representative learner testing and makes no claim of proven learning effectiveness.
